The Commission on the Status of Women is an annual event held by the United Nations in New York around International Women’s Day. It brings together representatives of UN Member States, civil society organizations, and UN entities. The 63rd CSW event will focus on: social protection systems, access to public services, and sustainable infrastructure for gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls. It will also cover women’s empowerment and the link to sustainable development (citing conclusions of the sixtieth session).

In addition to the main UN agenda, NGO CSW also coordinates more than 400 parallel events that seek to inform, engage, and inspire efforts and advocacy needed to empower women and girls.
