Our corporate and foundation partners are collaborating with us to produce impactful results for the women we serve.
We are delighted to have been chosen as Allen & Overy’s Global Charity Partner for 2023-2025. With a fundraising target of £1million, this partnership will support 250 displaced women in Iraq through our Stronger Women, Stronger Nations programme, as well as provide flexible funding through the Conflict Response Fund to support women affected by escalating conflict with a variety of services, including healthcare, psychosocial and women’s protection activities. It will also enable us to expand our programmes across the countries we operate in, scale our impact as a policy and advocacy catalyst for change and accelerate our 10-year strategy to serve 1 million women by 2030. We will be working alongside Allen & Overy’s global staff network to raise vital funds and awareness that will enable women survivors of war across the world to rebuild their lives, overcome trauma and regain hope.
Since 2008, Bloomberg Philanthropies has supported marginalized women in sub-Saharan Africa to gain new job skills, basic business training, life skills, and a support network. Bloomberg Philanthropies is currently supporting innovative workforce training for women in Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Cartier Philanthropy has been a strong partner of Women for Women International (WfWI) since 2013. Across the world, women face social, cultural, and economic barriers to equality. These barriers are extreme for ultra-poor women in conflict-affected countries like Kosovo or Rwanda, where women’s voices are silenced, ignored, undervalued, and excluded – even from decisions that affect them. As such, we have partnered together around the globe to empower women in conflict-affected countries.
Since 2014, renowned make-up artist and Women for Women International ambassador Charlotte Tilbury has been helping women survivors of war rebuild their lives. In 2016, Charlotte Tilbury launched the first Hot Lips lipstick collection in aid of our work. $2 from the sale of every lipstick sold, during the first two months of sales, was donated to Women for Women International. Charlotte Tilbury has continued to support our work by donating 15% of all online sales on Giving Tuesday, sponsoring sisters through our year-long training program and participating in our London based fundraising event, the #SheInspiresMe Car Boot Sale. In 2019, Charlotte Tilbury pledged to donate £1 million from the sales of the Hot Lips 2 collection! The beauty DNA of icons like Amal Clooney, Kylie Minogue and Sofia Vergara has inspired the collection which is packaged in beautifully designed refillable cases. Thanks to this pledge, we will be able to bring our transformational year-long training program to new areas and pioneer innovative ways of working with women survivors of war that make an even bigger difference to their lives and their families.
Women for Women International (WfWI), with support from the Ford Foundation supports a project in Northern Nigeria focused on "Mobilizing Community Led Solutions for Addressing Gender-Based Violence (GBV)". This project seeks to better understand the causes of violence against women in three target communities, positioning community stakeholders to adopt more targeted interventions to address the various forms of violence experienced by women in their communities. These strategies will be expressed as a collective commitment through the development of action plans around the protection of women's rights and prevention of GBV, with monthly meetings held to bind and support stakeholders to their agreements and responsibilities. The project also leverages WfWI's organizational strengths in monitoring, evaluation, and learning to pilot a variety of data collection methodologies to better understand community level norm change and the impact of our community focused interventions. Through this project and its community activism and mobilization efforts, we aim to transform gender norms and ultimately decrease rates of GBV in conflict-affected communities of Nigeria.
We are so thrilled to be partnering with The Jimmy Choo Foundation, who are dedicated to empowering women through education and enterprise. Founded in 1996, Jimmy Choo is a British luxury fashion brand specialising in footwear, handbags, fragrance, a range of accessories and a growing men’s offering with an empowered sense of glamour.
Since 2020 the company has donated over £500,000, helping women survivors of war to become successful entrepreneurs and inspire hope for the future. Jimmy Choo’s creativity and innovation has shone through in the unique ways they have supported us. In 2021, Jimmy Choo launched the beautiful CHOO SKETCH Capsule Collection, with shoes designed by Jimmy Choo’s followers and sold with 100% of profits donated to our work. For Jimmy Choo’s first-ever NFT collection, a one-of-a-kind digital animation was launched and auctioned with all profits donated to The Jimmy Choo Foundation in support of Women for Women International.
Since 2017, players of People's Postcode Lottery have helped to transform the lives of thousands of women living in some of the most difficult, dangerous countries on earth.
This committed support has enabled us to deliver training programs to thousands of marginalized women, equipping them with tools to earn an income, claim their rights and power, and build brighter futures after war or conflict. Funds raised by players enabled us to set up a new country office in northern Iraq to serve Syrian refugees and internally displaced women fleeing ISIS. They have supported the adaptation of our Afghanistan program to continue safely reaching women in need following the Taliban's takeover of the country. Players have also made critical investments in our Men’s Engagement Program and advocacy work, helping to shift harmful social norms and create a more supportive environment for women to fulfill their potential.
Recent funding, awarded by Postcode Justice Trust, invests in the power of women in Afghanistan, Iraq, Nigeria, and South Sudan as they drive positive changes for themselves and their communities.
slip® is a category-leading silk brand recommended by dermatologists, hair stylists and beauty experts. In 2022, slip® donated an incredible £100,000 to our work with women survivors of war, sending a powerful message of solidarity to women living in some of the world’s most fragile settings. The slip® team also participated in our 2022 #SheInspiresMe Lunch and hosted their own boot at our 2022 #SheInspiresMe Car Boot Sale, raising additional funds and awareness for our vital programs. We are so grateful for slip®’s continued support that allows us to reach more women who have been affected by the devastating effects of conflict.
The Swarovski Foundation's philanthropic mission includes promoting human empowerment and supporting charitable initiatives. Since 2014, the foundation has invested in helping women survivors of war and conflict. Their support has enabled over 1,000 women in rural Nigeria to form support networks, learn income-generating skills, and gain knowledge about health and their rights.
The Swarovski Foundation has also provided generous support to our Afghanistan Response Appeal, helping to maintain connections with women in programs, reopen offices, and provide urgent assistance. They have sponsored fundraising events and participated in the #SheInspiresMe Car Boot Sale to raise vital funds for women survivors of war.
With the generous support of the Swedish Postcode, WfWI will systematically ensure the meaningful participation of marginalized women and local organizations in key decision-making through advocacy training and economic empowerment in Nigeria and Iraq. In keeping with the Swedish Postcode Foundation’s priorities, this project contributes to societal change by strengthening civil society via increased democratic participation among vulnerable and disenfranchised women in conflict-affected countries. This program is built on the premise that once trained, appointed Change Agents from different communities will connect with others to affect change on a broader scale. Through this project, WfWI is strengthening the enabling environments in Nigeria and Iraq to advance women’s freedom of speech and expression as well as their ability to participate in decision-making and democratic processes. WfWI will draw on years of experience in performing quantitative and qualitative data collection to monitor progress, track assumptions about programs being implemented, and gather learning on projects’ successes and where program modifications are needed. Evaluation and data collection tools allow for robust data analysis to show participants’ knowledge, attitudes, and behavioral changes.
Our partnership with the Vitol Foundation and the Hilton Foundation has supported the expansion of our Conflict Response Fund (CRF) into the Sahel region. The investments made by both Foundation’s have enabled us to identify and provide flexible funding to three women’s rights organizations in Mali and Burkina Faso that are employing both humanitarian and development interventions for marginalized women who are being impacted by conflict in the region. Given the food crises in the region, and to support both immediate needs as well as promote long-term recovery and sustainability, emphasis is on supporting women with issues of food insecurity. Support from the Hilton Foundation is also enabling us to deepen our support to those initially selected partners in Mali and Burkina Faso, and/or to support additional partners within Mali and Burkina Faso, with the aim of not only expanding activities but also strengthening organizational capacity.

Even in countries like Sudan and Afghanistan, where unfolding crises and conflict make it even more challenging to reach women caught in the crossfire of conflict, we remain committed to providing on-the-ground services when others cannot. With the generous support of our partners, we have reached over 553,000 women in the most marginalized communities around the world.
